Call for Poster & Demo Abstracts

IEEE BSN 2023 invites 1-page abstract submissions for demos and/or posters reflecting work-in-progress and/or demonstrating prototypes. Presenting a demo or poster at BSN  will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers, practitioners, and students to share their work and ideas with leaders and experts in academia, industry, healthcare, and non-profit organizations and provide a cross-disciplinary, highly selective, and single-track forum for cutting-edge research related to devices and sensors, hardware and software systems, predictive models, and data analytics in the digital healthcare/medical domains. This will further provide an opportunity for the presenters to network with other attendees and gain recognition for their work. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Novel digital health solutions (i.e., sensors and algorithms) for diagnosis, disease progress tracking, and self-management.
  • Prototyping of novel in-body, on-body, and off-body sensors and systems for digital health, wellness, and sports.
  • Conformable decoders: unintrusive, comfortable, self-powered sensors and systems.
  • Flexible, stretchable, and imperceptible electronics for sensors and systems.
  • Contact-less solutions for human sensing.
  • Power-optimization for implantable and wearable sensors and systems.
  • Wearable robotics system for digital healthcare.
  • Signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, and decision-support algorithms.
  • Adaptive, personalized intervention systems by closing the loop between technologies and humans.
  • Security, privacy, and trust in digital health technologies.
  • Inclusiveness, fairness, and equality for under-represented and under-served communities in digital health technologies and studies.
  • Human-centered design for digital healthcare to address real-world stakeholder needs.

We enthusiastically look for submissions of ground-breaking concepts and research prototypes from academia and emerging IT startups. IEEE BSN is a great place to showcase brand-new platforms/products, early prototypes, or even ongoing projects on sensors and systems for Digital Health.

IEEE BSN 2023 accepts a 1-page abstract for poster and demo submission. Abstracts are required to follow the same format and template as the technical paper. Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by at least two reviewers considering novelty, impact, and potential to ignite engaging discussions and share thoughts on sensors and systems for Digital Health. The Best Poster Award and Best Demo Award will be presented at the conference.

Submissions need to include the title (begins with either “Poster:” or “Demo:” depending on submission track), authors, affiliations and contact information, abstract, and references. Accepted demo authors are expected to bring live demos. Poster authors will need to print and bring their own posters. All accepted posters must have a portrait-oriented layout with 36 inches in width and 48 inches in height. Posters with alternative dimensions or landscape-oriented layouts will not be eligible for presentation at the conference. While authors of accepted posters/demos have the flexibility to present their content to spark engaging discussions during the poster presentation sessions, authors are expected to adhere to their original submissions and reviewers’ comments in their final posters/demos.
