Digital health technologies are becoming increasingly pervasive. These tools increase opportunities to measure physiology and behavior in the wild (i.e., outside the laboratory). Evolving sensing technologies and data analytic solutions could transform sensor data into clinically actionable information. The IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Body Sensor Networks – Sensor and Systems for Digital Health (BSN 2023) will address digital health research and offer participants a unique forum to discuss the key issues and innovative solutions for sensor and systems development, data analytics and modeling, data management and interpretation, and communications.

IEEE BSN & HI-POCT Co-Location

IEEE BSN and IEEE HI-POCT, two premier conferences in the IEEE EMB Society, will be co-located in Boston in October 2023. The organizers of the two conferences believe that the co-location could yield significant synergistic effects. BSN focuses on cutting-edge research related to the theory and/or practice of wearable, ingestible, and implantable sensors and systems for digital health, whereas HI-POCT focuses on the application and commercialization of novel sensors, systems, and data processing algorithms to support point-of-care technologies. Therefore, the co-location could bring together world-renowned researchers in the two communities to support innovative, end-to-end healthcare research, ranging from the design of sensors and systems to the development of novel data-driven algorithms to the application of technologies to support point-of-care in medicine.

Both conferences will be single-track conferences. IEEE BSN will be held from 10/9 to 10/11, and IEEE HI-POCT will be held from 10/11 – 10/13, with a single day of overlap in the schedule (10/11) to share joint keynote presentations, demo and poster presentations, and special sessions and workshops.
